This is a dropper filled reservoir in the back end of the pen. It is filled from the rear. The nib half is lined with a narrow rubber tube. It was quite a challenge to figure out how to replace that with a new pliable tube! There is a button of sorts on the shaft that activates a clever one way pump to deliver a drop of ink towards the nib when pressed. The “feed” is just a tube to deliver ink to the underside of the nib. Displayed is the nib that came with the pen, but the pen holder was designed to use with any nib. This is a fountain pen that requires manual feeding of the nib instead of dipping the nib.
