Eagle Pencil company made a lot of innovative pen. They were mainly a pencil company. Many pens and pencils were made as novelty items (pencils with miniature sports balls on the top, Popeye the sailor logo pencils, pencils with tiny tape measures on top, etc). In addition to making quality pens, they also made very inexpensive pens with metal bodies and brass nibs.

These came in painted styles, round, hexagonal, and textured patterns, and even a later combo pen and pencil.
